Starting her musical career in London at just 17 years old, British-Iranian Yasmin has established an impressive name for herself in the underground creative scene. Initially DJ’ing across clubs and supporting the likes of artists such as Dizzee Rascal and Will.i.am, Yasmin went on to experiment with vocals, releasing her first single in 2011.

Having since toured internationally as both a thriving DJ and Vocalist, Yasmin discovered a new found love for travel and culture, leading her to co-found the London based platform Trippin. Powered by the community, Trippin serves as a purposeful guide for travellers while providing a platform to amplify local communities and creatives across the world.

Trippin recently launched their newest podcast series ‘Roots and Rituals’, hosted by Yasmin and Neuroaesthetics expert Robyn Landau. With the aim to explore the spirited rituals, lifestyles and practices that connect cultures worldwide, the duo uncover the origins and delve into the traditions that inspire our modern pursuit of physical and spiritual wellbeing. Alongside local and leading experts, Yasmin and Robyn invite listeners to learn first hand from the different cultures, communities and individuals they encounter through shared stories and experiences.

Relocating from London to Mexico in 2018, multi-disciplinary Yasmin now broadcasts on the national station Aire Libre while exploring cultural practices and connections with others through community projects. Expressing herself through many mediums, Yasmin is continuously pursuing her passion to connect people with things that make them feel good.

We’re so excited to welcome her to the AZEEMA FM family with her special mix, ‘An Eastern Affair’. Combining her nomadic experiences, dual-heritage and musical aptitude, Yasmin transports us to a tranquil world with her chilled blend of international rhythms.
